Laura Juanita “Nita” Carr, 92, of the Georgian Manor Apartments in Princeton died Saturday, February 09, 2013, at her residence. Born in Pearisburg, VA May 9, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Karl and Laura Elmore Pack. Nita was a nursing graduate of the Jefferson Hospital in Roanoke, VA. She faithfully served her country in the Women’s Army Corp during World War ll working as a nurse with the 164th General Hospital in France. She retired from Princeton Community Hospital after seventeen years of service on the maternity floor where she last served as a supervisor of labor and delivery. Nita was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton where she formerly served on the Altar Guild. In addition to her parent’s she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ewell Pack, Ray Pack and Karl Pack, and two sisters, Sue Vail and Clara Foster. Survivors include one son, Daniel Thomas “Thom” Carr, lll of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one daughter, Susan Pack “Susie” Carr of Sherman Oaks, CA; one brother, Sidney G. Pack and his wife Teresa of Cross Lane, WV; sister-in-law, Edie Carr of Princeton and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nita will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Scott Sears officiating. Burial will follow I Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rick Kendrick, David Graham, Bill Foster, Jim Miller, Jerry Jenkins and Jim Anderson. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 11:00 A.M. to the service hour on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O.
